The Gilded 2

Among the Gilded, image is armor and confidence is currency. These figures thrive on curated myths, rented authority, and battles designed to be won before they begin. They move loudly through the multiverse, mistaking attention for legitimacy and access for strength.
Madame Mustache
A glamorous fusion of southern belle, fairy godmother, and circus spectacle, Madame Mustache is a master of presentation whose signature mustache is as deliberate as it is iconic. She cultivates the image of a benevolent, magical figure, using advanced technology, stagecraft, and wealth to create effects her devoted fans mistake for genuine sorcery. Proud, performative, and acutely aware of her brand, her true power lies not in combat but in influence; shaping perception, loyalty, and belief through sheer presence and curated illusion.
Rhinoquet
Rhinoquet is a mercenary who has built his entire persona around intimidation, pageantry, and an unmistakable golden rhino codpiece. Styled as a hybrid of knight, samurai, and landsknecht, he projects the image of a Boba Fett–level threat, often hired on reputation alone. In reality, while certainly dangerous, he lacks the discipline and adaptability to consistently match his legend, frequently finding himself outmatched by more capable opponents who see past the armor and bravado.
Jason the Homunculus
Jason is a homunculus without angst, burden, or existential dread; just enthusiasm. A thrill-seeking mercenary, thief, and bounty hunter, he treats life as an endless adventure, eagerly testing his absurdly broad skill set wherever danger or excitement can be found. Possessing the adaptability of Taskmaster, the polish of James Bond, and the recklessness of a pulp adventurer, Jason is less concerned with why he exists than with what he gets to do next, approaching combat and chaos with infectious joy.
Yip “Coyote” Tenenbaum
Born into immense wealth and opportunity, Yip Tenenbaum has everything required to be a legend, except the ability to rise above mediocrity. Styling himself as a cowboy-themed vigilante, his coyote persona was meant to evoke cunning and menace, but instead paints him as a scrappy, overconfident mutt punching well above his weight. Despite expensive gear and relentless self-belief, Yip remains a low-level operator whose ambition consistently outpaces his competence, making him a tragic emblem of wasted access.
Neon Centaurian
Publicly celebrated as a high-tech superhero, the Neon Centaurian is the polished face of a massive hidden operation. Every one of his battles is meticulously curated by an elite support team that vets opponents, gathers intelligence, and outfits him with highly specialized, often unstable, experimental gear designed to guarantee victory. Oblivious to the machinery behind his success, he charges into combat with absolute confidence, believing himself a legendary warrior, when in truth he is a wealthy child playing hero at a scale money alone can sustain.
