The Oldfang 5

The Oldfang 5

With this final entry, the roster of the Oldfang stands complete; an order of hunters, knights, sages, and wanderers bound by honor, strength, and dignity. Across five lineups, we’ve seen the breadth of their ranks: berserkers and prophets, lone rogues and proud lairds, cosmic masters and simple trackers. Each embodies the Oldfang creed in their own way, a living testament to the idea that greatness takes many shapes.

Ugdesh the Thunder-Belly

Ugdesh is more myth than man, an ascended master said to have wrestled gods and returned to tell the tale. His belly, marked with glowing sigils, is said to resonate with the hum of creation itself, a thunder that can shake the bones of mortals and immortals alike. Though serene and seemingly jovial, Ugdesh carries the weight of cosmic truths, his laughter hiding a wisdom few dare to grasp. For many, just his presence is a reminder that enlightenment can be as terrifying as it is liberating.

Tacitus Dent

A soldier of fortune from no single time or place, Tacitus Dent bridges the divide between ancient warrior and modern fighter. His garb mixes the harsh precision of a Spartan hoplite with the tactical practicality of a SWAT operative, a contradiction that suits him well. He is a man of sharp edges and sharper discipline, never hesitating to throw himself into impossible odds. Rumors say he fights not for coin nor glory, but to erase a personal shame, though none dare ask him what it is.

Murder Bear

An interdimensional bounty hunter and enforcer, Murder Bear is a name whispered in taverns and camps with reverence and fear. His scarred and tattooed body is a map of battles won, each mark telling the story of a soul delivered to judgment. Though massive and terrifying in form, he is laconic by nature, often speaking only when necessary. His silence is louder than most men’s roars, and when he moves to collect his quarry, there is no escaping the inevitability of his grasp.

Missy Wildroot

As much a hunter as a fashion icon, Missy Wildroot blends lethal pragmatism with a fierce sense of self-expression. Her cloak of crimson, paired with her sharp archery skills, makes her a standout both in the wilderness and on the battlefield. Raised among tangled forests and wild glens, she knows how to track any beast, man, or spirit across untamable terrain. Missy’s sharp tongue is as quick as her arrows, making her a woman to be respected, or avoided altogether.

Burlap Jack

Wrapped in ragged cloth and sealed behind a dive helm that distorts his every word, Burlap Jack is an enigma of the Oldfang. He roams poisoned marshes, plague-ridden ruins, and forbidden places that even the bravest will not tread. His mind, half-frayed by years of isolation and the endless sound of his own breath, wanders as unpredictably as his path. Some say he is mad, others that he is cursed, but none can deny his survival against odds that would have swallowed lesser men whole.

Their banners may fade into the misty treeline, but their legacy will never dim. And while the Oldfang fight with honor beneath the boughs, not all in Sonder carry such noble purpose. From shadowed laboratories and storm-lit towers rises our next faction: the Hollow Choir.
